Playing Hookie

This past Wednesday Cory found out that he wouldn't have to work. I have been wanting to try and work Saturdays instead of Wednesdays for a while now, so I thought this week would be a good week to try it out. So we decided to take a little mid-week break and we went up to Flagstaff Tuesday night and then spent Wednesday at the Grand Canyon and Sedona. Cory had never been to the Grand Canyon before so it was really fun to go and do that together. We've both been really busy lately (Cory especially) so it was so nice to have a day for just the two of us. No work, no chores, no errands...just me, my man, and a big 'ol canyon. It was great! We also ended up buying another dog. We've been wanting to get a little friend for Kingston for a while now, so we finally just did it. We are officially dog people. She's a cutie though. Her name is Izzy and she's full grown so her and Kingston get along great.

dogs probably are a little cheaper than babies (especially in the long run... a few years vs. an eternity) and you don't have to be pregnant for nine months... maybe you guys are on to something. =]
